Professional Company
RIZE Pro-Elite is PPI’s award-winning professional dance company; comprised of all women of color. The company uses movement styles from the African diaspora and storytelling to amplify the voices and narrative of the Black experience. This “sisterhood” of artists creates a safe space for artistic growth, enlightenment, and personal evolution for its sister members. RIZE leaves its audiences spellbound by its rich storytelling, authentic emotion, and pristine technique wrapped in what one can only describe as a “spiritual experience” on both stage and on film.
PPI’s professional company galvanizes the next generation of Black women leaders by providing resources, professional development and additional opportunities of support to its dancers throughout the year. PPI also provides nanny services during rehearsals and performances for its dancers who are mothers, so they do not have to choose between motherhood and following their passion in the arts.
Your support will allow PPI to expand its women-led artistic leadership program throughout Chicagoland and beyond. Funds will cover competitive artist stipends and professional development opportunities, and additional areas of support for PPI’s professional dancers.
